THE GAP IN CARE
You can see the decline. There's no obvious next step.
Most notice it long before anyone talks about it. You are your parent is slowing down, getting weaker, less steady on their feet. They don't qualify for home health — and they're not going to start showing up at a gym.
Six20 At Home was built for that gap. It's the bridge between therapy and the rest of life.
WHAT YOU MAY BE NOTICING
Taking longer to get out of a chair
Not walking as much anymore
There's been a fall — or a near-fall
Confidence is fading
Stairs, groceries, and everyday tasks are getting harder
Therapy is over, but the work isn't done
Strength is independence.
Strength isn't about lifting weights. It's about getting out of a chair. Climbing the stairs. Carrying groceries in from the car. Walking through church or the grocery store without thinking twice. Recovering from a stumble. Staying active with grandkids. Living at home — for as long as possible.
THE DIFFERENCE
Most senior fitness avoids the one thing that actually rebuilds strength.
Twenty years of research is clear: older adults — including women with osteoporosis — can safely train with real resistance and gain real strength. The landmark LIFTMOR trials showed supervised heavy resistance training improved bone density, balance, and function in postmenopausal women with low bone mass, with no injuries. Earlier work at Tufts showed nursing home residents in their 80s and 90s nearly tripled their leg strength in ten weeks.
Most senior fitness ignores all of it. Light bands, seated marches, theraband kicks. Movement that maintains, but rarely rebuilds.
Six20 At Home is different. We bring real equipment — adjustable dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands — and we use it. Loads start exactly where you are and progress only when you’re ready. The goal isn't to lift heavy. It's to get stronger. That's what changes what they can do in real life.
MORE THAN EXERCISE
A monthly score that shows how you or your parent is really doing.
Every month, you will receive a one-page Six20 Independence Score — a clear, measured snapshot of how your loved one is progressing in the areas that actually predict independence.
Chair stands. Walking tolerance. Balance. Confidence. Falls and near-falls. You stay informed. Progress gets measured. The coaching stays accountable.

FAQs
-
No. Six20 At Home is a private-pay wellness and fitness coaching service led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. It is not physical therapy and not home health. We will not diagnose, treat medical conditions, or replace skilled rehabilitation. We build strength, balance, and independence in the home.
-
No. This is a private-pay service. That's intentional — it lets the program focus on what actually helps long-term independence rather than what insurance will pay for in a given visit.
-
Most families notice changes in confidence and daily ease within the first 4–6 weeks. Measurable strength and balance gains typically show up in the second monthly Independence Score report. Real change takes consistency — that's why we measure every month.

-
Yes — at a level that's appropriate for you, and as you’re ready for it. "Weights" might start as a 5-pound dumbbell used to stand up from a chair, or a light kettlebell held while practicing balance. For a stronger client, it might progress to a real goblet squat or a deadlift off a low platform. Every session is supervised one-on-one, every load is intentional, and progression is evaluated for appropriateness. This is the part most senior strength programs miss and it's the part that actually rebuilds strength.
-
Yes. Weekly plans are just that, week-to-week with no long-term commitment. If the service stops being the right fit, you can cancel anytime.
